The 2021 edition of Life is Art, co-organized with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, focused on music with the theme Per aspera ad astra. It marked the festival’s first collaboration with illustrator Don Mak, whose artwork captured the emotional link between music and film.

As creative director and designer, I worked with in-house designers to adapt the illustration into a wide range of deliverables, including posters, booklets, cinema displays, outdoor advertising, videos, and merchandise. The scope required turning one core illustration into a complete identity across many formats, while keeping the festival’s look cohesive and impactful.
